ABOUT THE CLIENT/ client back story
This client's husband purchased a Custom Capsule Wardrobe as a gift for his wife. They were planning a big trip to Tuscany and the French Riviera, plus she had been talking about feeling ready for a style reset. They had previously worked with stylists in other cities but not since they moved into the Pittsburgh area.
STYLE PRIORITIES
Must include outfits that can be repeated for multiple summer weddings.
A strappy minimal profile heel to finish each look.
Emphasize shoulders when possible. (Love ruffles, pleating, and balloons at shoulders).
A mix of bright colors and neutrals.
Garments with solid construction.
Our focus
This client wanted a sleek look with something special about each garment. For example, I looked for crochet, asymmetrical prints, hardware, and lace; I sprinkled texture and mixed media into the garment and accessory choices. Another goal was to square off the torso to thigh portion of her body which I did by weaving in boxy tops, empire waists with straight or slightly a-line midsections, and peplums.
Final looks
These are some of the final outfits we landed on. In total, we had 8 daytime and 8 evening looks and she was fully set for her trip. In a follow-up conversation, she said packing for her trip was so easy, she felt confident and stylish while traveling, and she received compliments on her outfits everywhere she went!
